Feminist Teleology: A False Finality of the Feminine

In the context of feminist ideology, teleology takes on a dual role: first, as a political and social purpose, and second, as a metaphysical justification for the complete reordering of human relations, gender dynamics, and societal structures. Feminism, particularly in its most radical and eschatological forms, proposes a final goal that is deeply intertwined with a corrupted vision of the feminine archetype—one that demands not only political transformation but an entire metaphysical recalibration of existence itself.
In traditional teleology, an ultimate purpose (telos) is seen as inherent to nature, guiding development toward a harmonious end. For instance, classical philosophy often posited that human nature has an end toward which it strives—whether happiness, virtue, or enlightenment. Feminist teleology, however, inverts and reconfigures this understanding by placing the feminine as both the source and the telos of all social, cultural, and political development.
The Feminine as Telos: Idealized and Reified
Central to feminist teleology is the elevation of the feminine to an unattainable ideal—the false telos of human existence. Rather than the feminine being one principle among many, integral to the complex harmony of existence, she becomes the final destination, the ultimate goal of social order and moral righteousness.
In this framework, feminine traits (such as receptivity, nurturance, and sensitivity) are idealized and projected as the standard of truth, justice, and ethics. These traits become synonymous with the good, while the masculine is relegated to positions of dominance, violence, and oppression that is it is described as inherently evil and unredeemable. In this teleological schema, everything must be judged according to its alignment with the feminine telos: whether it contributes to the liberation of women (in an ideological sense), or whether it perpetuates the old gynocentric structures under desguise that hinder the fulfillment of this final, idealized feminine state.
Feminism and the Rejection of Nature’s Teleology
Feminist teleology operates on a fundamentally anti-natural premise—rejecting traditional, biological, and metaphysical teleologies. In this context, gender roles and biological imperatives (such as motherhood or sexual differences) are seen as constructs that need to be redefined or eradicated in the pursuit of a new feminine-centric order. The feminine is not seen as an element of a balanced and harmonious cosmos, but as an entity whose final purpose is to transcend natural realities and create a society centered around her values and principles. This rejection of natural teleology can lead to an ontological distortion, where the organic order of being (the sacred role of woman as part of a metaphysical whole) is replaced by an ideological program for political and social remaking.
Feminist Teleology as a Political and Moral Imperative
In practice, feminist teleology unfolds as a moral imperative, where the goal of female superiority under the desguise of equality and female empowerment is framed as the ultimate moral end. Feminism's political aims are thus intertwined with a teleological imperative: the creation of a society where the feminine ideal has triumphed over its supposed oppressors. This is not merely about achieving equality or opportunity for women but about transforming society into a space where the feminine archetype—in its radicalized form—becomes the defining measure of all social, political, and moral structures.
This teleology carries within it the idea of a teleological conflict, wherein the feminine and the masculine are pitted against each other as antagonistic forces. The masculine, as traditionally conceived, is viewed as incomplete, oppressive, or corrupt in contrast to the idealized feminine. Thus, feminist teleology mandates the exaltation of womanhood and the subjugation or transformation of male-centeref systems. The end goal is often framed as the creation of a feminist utopia, where masculinity is completely overthrown and replaced by feminist ideals followed by a feminist social order rooted in the reification of the feminine.
Feminist Teleology and Its Connection to False Transcendence
The feminist teleology described here aligns with the notion of false transcendence that we have identified earlier. Just as certain heretical traditions and ideologies have abstracted the feminine into an unreachable ideal (a false telos), so too does contemporary feminism, particularly in its most radical forms, place the feminine as the final goal of societal evolution. In this view, the feminine archetype is not a living presence that fills the world with balance, receptivity, and grounding, but a transcendent ideal that must dominate all aspects of life. Feminism, in this sense, acts as a heretical reconfiguration of the feminine, creating an idol of woman that must be worshiped, and whose virtue becomes the basis for a moral and political system.
In this false teleology, the purpose of all existence—the telos—is reduced to the fulfillment of a feminist vision, not rooted in reality or the balance of natural forces, but rather in the ideological projection of an idealized feminine that demands ultimate allegiance.
